Just a quick message to let you know there is a new online journal, eggspots, focusing on cichlids with these ocelli. The aim is in part to bridge the gap between hobby and science by providing material that will interest all parties.
The first two issues will be free, thereafter there will be a small charge. The first issue is now available at

Contributions will also be welcome and should be sent to the editor, Erwin Schraml, at the address provided.
We hope you will enjoy, but we welcome criticism as well as enthusiasm!
